JELENA SKULIC received her Engineering
Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Communications and Information Technologies, from the School
of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia in 2009. She wrote her Diploma Thesis: "Protocols for Wireless
Sensor Networks" under the supervision of Dr. Mirjana Stojanovic.
She received a MSc degree in Information, Communication and Audiovisual technologies from University of Pompeu Fabra,
Barcelona, Spain in 2010. She wrote her MSc thesis: "Evaluation of Capture Effect in Random Access Protocols" under the
supervision of Dr. Boris Bellalta and Dr. Miquel Oliver.
She is currently doing her PhD at Imperial College London under the supervision of Dr. Kin K. Leung.
Jelena worked as a teaching assistant on mobile communications and data transmission courses under Professor Anna
Sfairopoulou and Professor Boris Bellalta at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona, Spain. She was a member of
the Network Technologies and Strategies (NeTS) research group within UPF.
Jelena is currently Research Assistant at Imperial College London, undeder Professor Kin K. Leung. She is a
member of Communications and Signal Processing Research Group. She is working on SmartEN project , as part of
Marie Curie program.
